EXCLUSIVE: Will Packer Media and Kinetic Content are developing Tia Williams’ Seven Days in June as a series for Amazon Prime Video, with Felicia Pride serving as writer and showrunner.

Pride will executive produce the project through her production company Honey Chile, along with Will Packer and Sabrina Wind through Will Packer Media. Williams will also EP, while Honey Chile’s Ivy Grant will serve as a consultant.

Seven Days in June was a Reese Witherspoon Book Club June 2021 Pick and a New York Times bestseller. Named best book by several publications, including USA Today, Harper’s Bazaar, and the Los Angeles Times, the novel is a BookTok favorite and has been heralded as “gutting, arousing, and sparklingly witty” by Vogue Entertainment.

Williams’ fourth novel The Perfect Find was adapted into the 2023 film starring Gabrielle Union, which debuted on Netflix. Her upcoming novel, A Love Song for Ricki Wilde, a fairy tale about two artists drawn to the magic, romance, and opportunity of New York, published on February 6.

Pride’s most recent credits include Bel-Air and Grey’s Anatomy. Previously, she was a writer on Ava DuVernay’s Queen Sugar and she’s also developing a drama series with Netflix. Pride’s feature Deeper is in development with Universal, as well as Like It’s the Last – both sold with Will Packer Productions. She’s also sold features to Sony and AGC Studios.

Honey Chile is a writer-led production company, founded by Pride, that creates and produces audacious stories across TV, film, audio, digital, and experiential by, for, or about Honeys, Black women 40 and over. Honey Chile currently has projects setup at CBS TV Studios, BET Studios, and Lifetime.

Packer, Founder and CEO of Will Packer Productions, has produced or executive produced a wide range of movies that have grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, including Girls Trip, Night School, Ride Along, Think Like a Man, Straight Outta Compton, and most recently, Dashing Through the Snow.

Pride is repped by UTA, Industry Entertainment, and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC. Williams is repped by CAA, Wendy Sherman Associates, and Granderson Des Rochers LLP. Will Packer Media is repped by CAA and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole LLP.
